Hoss was the definition of Man's Best Friend. My dad got him for me as a puppy in '96, the year before my dad passed away. Hoss got to live in AggieLand with me until I graduated, moved with me to Carrollton where I got married, and ultimately to Frisco. Hoss left this Earth as an 'old man' and was loved by all.
Soon after I needed an online username, and while Hoss was appropriate, I thought Virtual Hoss had a cool ring to it since he would virtually always be with me.
Virtual Hoss quickly turned to vHoss which I have used ever since.
